Benefit Updates for Members Affected by the Southern CA Fires

The following benefit allowances have been made available to members directly affected by the Southern California fires:

MDLive Logo

MDLive is allowing a one-time co-pay waiver for members who need services and are affected by the fires. How it works:

  1. Eligible SISC Members may visit mdlive.com/sisc, call 800-657-6169, or download the MD LIVE app to log in or create an account.
  2. Select Urgent Care (on-demand 24/7) or Mental Health (by appointment only) and schedule an appointment with a provider.
  3. Simply enter the promo code “CAWildFiresUC” for urgent care and / or “CAWildFiresBH” for behavioral health when presented with payment options to redeem a free visit.

Any VSP member who has lost or broken their eyewear due to the SoCal fires can call Member Services Support Line at 800-877-7195 to have their VSP benefits reinstated regardless of eligibility. You may also visit https://www.vsp.com/natural-disaster-resources for additional support.

  • Available to all employees, retirees and household members of a district/bargaining until that participates in BSSP/SISC medical benefits. You do not have to be enrolled in a medical plan to access the benefits through EAP.
  • 6-1 hour sessions per person, per incident, per year either in-person or virtually via LifeHealth Online.
  • Talkspace is available for text, audio and video messaging with a therapist anytime.
  • Emotional Wellness articles, videos and podcasts and Self-paced Courses and Resources available on the EAP website.
