AmeriBen will replace Anthem as the medical claims administrator January 1, 2022
There will be no change to your BSSP+SISC medical providers and benefits.

AmeriBen will be responsible for the administration of your medical plan benefits, including claims payments, benefit inquiries, ID cards, and more beginning January 1, 2022. There will be no change to the following:
Watch for new ID cards. Your new BSSP+SISC ID cards have been mailed. Present your ID card to your doctors for medical and prescription services on or after January 1, 2022.
You will receive two new ID cards, in the name of the subscriber, only. Login to your AmeriBen portal or contact AmeriBen at 877-379-4844 to request additional ID cards, if needed.
Access your medical plan and claims information online. You can register at SISC.MyAmeriBen.com. You will need the following information when registering:
Download the AmeriBen App! Available on the iOS or Android platforms...just type "myameriben" in the search. Note: Android users may not be able to access digital ID cards from the mobile app. This is an Android restriction as protection against malicious attacks to their users via app.

*If you are a double covered member, you must use your Member ID from your ID Card to register for your AmeriBen account.
- Your medical plan deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, plan provisions and/or limitations.
- The Anthem network of providers because of this change. It is the same network of providers and facilities your current plan provides access to. You can continue using the same doctors and facilities.
- Your pharmacy benefits are not affected by this change. BSSP+SISC will continue to use Navitus Health Solutions as our pharmacy benefit manager. This means you have access to the same pharmacies and prescription drugs.

I have a procedure scheduled after January 1, 2022 that has already been authorized by Anthem. Will AmeriBen honor the approval?
Yes! All approvals issued by Anthem prior to January 1, 2022 for dates of service after January 1, 2022 will be honored by AmeriBen.
I HAVE A PROCEDURE SCHEDULED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2022. WHEN CAN MY PROVIDER CONTACT AMERIBEN FOR PRIOR AUTHORIZATION?
AmeriBen’s Member and Provider Services numbers will be live on December 20, 2021.
I am currently appealing a claim with Anthem. Will the change to AmeriBen affect my appeal?
No. Any appeals for claims incurred prior to January 1, 2022 will continue to be managed by Anthem.
I Currently have a case manager with Anthem. Will I have a Case Manager assigned with AmeriBen?
Yes! Anthem will be communicating with AmeriBen regarding all open cases with Anthem Case Management. AmeriBen’s Case Management team will take over as of January 1, 2022.
I am a double covered member. Do i need to login to each account to view my accumulators?
Yes. Employees will need to log in to each account to see the respective accumulator. The account for which the member is the employee/policyholder will be the primary and the account for which the member is the dependent/spouse would the secondary.
